Speedoc is now CHAS-accredited, on top of being MediSave-accredited and Baby Bonus approved!

What is the CHAS card for?

The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) enables all Singapore Citizens, including Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation cardholders, to receive subsidies for medical and/or dental care at participating CHAS General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics.

Aside from subsidies for urgent conditions, all CHAS cardholders can enjoy subsidised outpatient treatment for chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP). This means that you will receive government subsidies when you sign up for Speedoc’s Chronic Disease Home Management™ programme for diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol!

Who qualifies for CHAS? All Singaporeans are eligible for CHAS, regardless of household monthly income or Annual Value of your home. However, the benefits you receive under CHAS will differ.

CHAS green card holders do not receive subsidies for common illnesses (e.g. fever, cough, or sore throat). However, you can still receive up to $160 a year for chronic condition treatment, as long as your chronic condition is listed under CDMP.

What is the difference between the different CHAS cards?

The biggest and most obvious difference between the various CHAS cards, differentiated by their colours, is the amount of subsidies you receive.

This table below shows the amount of subsidy you will receive:

How do I get a CHAS card?

To receive a CHAS card, you first have to submit an application. CHAS is not automatically issued even though all Singapore citizens are eligible. Singaporeans aged 21 and above can apply for CHAS on behalf of your household. The application can be completed online here.

It usually takes approximately 15 days for your application to be processed. If your application is successful, all members of your household will receive your own CHAS card that reflects your subsidy tier.
