What vaccination should I get for my baby in Singapore?

What childhood vaccination benefits are available for Singaporeans?
Singaporean nationals can benefit from various government initiatives that are also made available at Speedoc. These include:
- All Singaporean children (who are on schedule for their vaccinations) may be eligible for a full subsidy (no deduction on CDA) for all Speedoc’s home-based childhood vaccinations under the NCIS scheme.
- Alternatively, as a Baby Bonus-approved institution, you can also use the funds in your baby’s Childhood Development Account (CDA) to pay for your baby’s vaccination programme in full or per visit. Click here for more information and FAQs on Baby Bonus and CDA.
- Fully-subsidised home-based vaccinations provide parents with the opportunity to save time, avoid the hassle of queuing, and avoid risking their babies to exposure. No hidden charges except for optional add-ons such as rotavirus.
How much do child vaccinations cost in Singapore?
At Speedoc we offer vaccination packages which include all vaccine types as per recommendations by NCIS.
Speedoc Childhood Vaccination Package
The full Speedoc’s vaccination package which comprises of 6 vaccination time points is priced at $2,267.20 (inclusive of GST). This package includes both mandatory as well as optional vaccinations under the NCIS.
*The 6th and 15th month milestone will be attended to by either a doctor or a nurse depending if there were any medical conditions flagged up during the previous developmental screening.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vaccines are made from the same viruses that cause diseases, but altered in a way that they will not be able to cause illness. When we receive the vaccines, usually via an injection, our immune system responds by creating antibodies that provide us with immunity against those diseases. Some vaccines are good for life (lifetime validity), while others may require regular booster shots to maintain immunity.
It is normal for your baby to cry a little during the vaccine administration procedure, but this should last no more than a few minutes. It is also common for your baby to experience slight soreness or develop a fever, but these should subside in a day or two. You might observe some redness or a small bump over the injection site, which should also subside within a few days too.
Institutions are within their rights to turn your unvaccinated children away from enrollment if mandatory vaccinations are not administered. Additionally, under the law, parents who fail to have their kid vaccinated against Measles and Diphtheria will be fined up to $500 for the first offence and up to $1,000 for the second or subsequent offences.

You will receive communication from the Speedoc patient care team via email or a phone call.
There will be a $196.20 fee (incl. GST) for any cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the vaccination date and time that has been confirmed.
Your baby is unsuitable for vaccination if he/she has a high fever. You should, however, consult a doctor especially if your baby has had an adverse reaction to certain vaccines previously, or has a weak immune system. Our doctors at Speedoc are able to advise if your child is suitable for certain vaccines and they can offer support if you are unsure of how to manage your child’s symptoms after vaccination.
Infants and young children are more likely to get a serious illness from diseases as their immune systems are still developing. In severe cases, it may result in hospitalisation or even death. Delaying mandatory vaccines leaves your child unprotected when he/she may need protection the most. For example, diseases such as Hib or pneumococcus almost always occur before a child turns 2. Other diseases, such as hepatitis B and whooping cough (pertussis), affect babies more severely.
Mandatory vaccinations are ones made compulsory under the Infectious Disease Regulations. To date, there are two compulsory vaccinations in Singapore:
Diphtheria vaccination against diphtheria is administered as a combination vaccine with Tetanus and Pertussis(DTaP). This vaccination aims to provide protection against bacterial diseases which are fatal to babies and children.
Measles vaccination against measles is administered as a combination vaccine with Mumps and Rubella (MMR). This vaccination aims to provide protection against viral infectious diseases which are fatal to babies and children.
